Lize Snyman is a registered dietician and the founder of a dynamic dietetic practice that empowers individuals to make sustainable lifestyle changes through personalized nutrition. With over 25 years of experience, she provides expert support to both in-hospital and private practice patients, operating from Mediclinic Kloof, Cintocare Private Hospital in Menlyn Maine and Life Eugene Marais Hospital in Pretoria.
Lize is a familiar name in the field of nutrition, regularly contributing to magazines, newspapers, and appearing in television interviews to share insights on current dietary trends and medical nutrition therapy. She is passionate about keeping up with the ever-evolving field of dietetics and translating complex science into practical advice for her patients. Her website, lizesnymandiet.co.za, is a trusted resource packed with tools, tips, and evidence-based guidance.
After earning her B.Sc. degree from the University of the Free State (UOFS), Lize broadened her experience by working with the National Health Service (NHS) in the United Kingdom, serving in Liverpool, Manchester, and Bristol. This exposure equipped her with a global perspective and deepened her clinical expertise.
In recent years, the practice has expanded to include Jacqueline Pienaar, Anel de Wet, Nale Pretorius and Megan Botha who bring fresh energy and specialized knowledge to the team. Together, they've ventured into emerging areas of nutrition, including modern supportive weight loss therapies such as gastric balloons, where ongoing dietetic support is key to long-term success.
The shift toward online consulting, spurred by the Covid pandemic, has opened exciting new possibilities. Through platforms like Zoom, Teams, and WhatsApp, Lize and her team are now able to support patients across borders, helping to optimize outcomes through consistent check-ins and real-time guidance. Regular feedback reports to referring specialists ensure coordinated care and maintain the highest standards of professionalism.
By offering tailored dietary strategies, proactive support, and evidence-based interventions, Lize Snyman's practice continues to make a meaningful impact—one patient at a time.
The welcoming attitude of the team puts patients at ease to share their stories.
