Lize Snyman is a registered dietician who runs a dietetic practice which inspires and enables people to make successful lifestyle changes. She is known for writing articles for magazines and newspapers and doing television interviews regarding nutrition. As the head of a private practice she has over 18years of experience in the field of dietetics and deals with both in-hospital patients as well as private practice consultations.
The field of dietetics is ever evolving and staying abreast of the latest nutrition bits is something she enjoys. Her website lizesnymandiet.co.za is packed with expert advice and tools to help people achieve their lifestyle goals.
Lize runs a dynamic practice in two Pretoria hospitals namely Mediclinic Kloof and Cintocare Hospital in Menlyn Maine. She obtained her B.Sc degree from UOFS and spent two years working as part of the National Health Care Service in Liverpool, Manchester and Bristol in the United Kingdom gaining invaluable experience.
In recent years the practice has grown to allow two members, Lindi Fourie and Jacqueline Pienaar to join the team and together they branched into new fields of nutrition.
In the arena of modern supportive weight loss such as the use of gastric balloons ongoing dietetic support plays a pivotal role in achieving positive outcomes. The outbreak of Covid opened the door to online consulting for the team. This exciting platform offers the opportunity for patients to effortlessly keep in regular contact with the dietetic team. Online support offered to patients optimizes the overall success rate due to better patient adherence.
The online consulting strategy allows for the dietician to anticipate and handle potential dietary complications before they arise. Keeping the medical specialist in the know through feedback reports closes the circle. This action plan not only ensures increased patient satisfaction but also projects a professional image of the medical practice it forms a part of.
The welcoming attitude of the team puts patients at ease to share their stories.

Biokinetics is comprised of orthopaedic rehabilitation (strengthening of muscles to protect joints during both sport and activities of daily living), chronic disease management (prescription and monitoring of individualised cardiovascular exercise) and total wellness (lifestyle and stress management). Recognised by and registered with the HPCSA (Health Professions council of South Africa), Biokinetics is the field of specialised exercise therapy which functions in alliance to both the health and medical industries. At Jean-Mari de Clercq Biokinetics I hold tremendous respect for the human body, and run a hands-on practice, tailored to the needs of our patients. I view bio kinetics as a scientific and holistic process merging the mind and body on the journey to wellness. I consider patient education a very important part of what we do. Exercise is a lifestyle, therefore we try and infuse that enthusiasm into our patients by keeping them focused on their goals.
